UC Davis Take your Daughters & Sons to Work Day:
The Bioinformatics Core puts on a show for the kids April 22nd, 2010. Activities included informative video, interactive ‘assembly’ game where kids used Bloxes to experience replication of genetic information, a tour of the Vizwall (below), and finally putting it all together with LEGO blocks!
Vizwall:
The Bioinformatics Core put together a multi-million pixel visual processing cluster for advanced graphics and modeling applications. It was inaugurated in 2009 and is located in the Genome & Biomedical Sciences Facility.
