1. Providing expertise to assess the feasibility of the project, identifying available resources and application for a particular problem and developing basic designs for computing infrastructure and databases.
2. Serve as a liaison to match difficult and fundamental problems to University faculty members who need that expertise.
3. Prototyping in support of grant applications and publication.
4. Participate in grant execution.
